Guide to Flying into SLC with a Bike

Salt Lake City airport has a great light rail (TRAX) connection to downtown, and to commuter rail (FrontRunner), as well as a good bike path from the airport into the city. Car rental, car share, and taxi is also available.

Oversized luggage is by the wall next to regular luggage pick up.

To TRAX, exit door 1A and turn left towards the train platform. Bikes can roll onto any TRAX train, and the airport is the end of the line so there’s usually plenty of room. There is only one line going one direction, so if there is a train there, that’s your train. For navigation within Salt Lake City, the big mountains are to the east, and the distant (smaller) mountains are to the west.
